Further the EdgeXOS appliance accelerates the latest downloads to the software clients thus ensuring fast and reliable security updates.

Unlike other security solutions which only protect the edge of a network, or others which only protect individual clients which have security software, the EdgeXOS cloud firewall solution protexts both the network and individual clients.

The EdgeXOS cloud firewall appliances can also enforce that all LAN clients download clients prior to allowing them to access Internet resources. This feature of the EdgeXOS appliance works in conjunction with the Cloud5ecure software client in order to ensure endpoint protection.

The Cloud5ecure software clients are easy to install and are extordinarily simple to manage. Management can be performed either on an individual basis or controlled globally through a web-based global management system. The followin screen provides an example of the endpoint client interface.

The software client can be configured to automatically scan for viruses and either remove or quarantine those files which it believes contain viruses and/or other malware.

The software uses realtime behavior analysis to assist in determining when a virus may be attempting to gain access to the operating system. By continuously checking key files within the operating system and monitoring how programs are interacting with each other and the system, Cloud5ecure is able to quickly determine if a virus is present and alert the end-user as well as take steps to automatically stop it from causing any damage.
